Where are all my problems gone?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi
Over the last month or so I had several problems and I asked questions in the help section… and that was/ is it. I have not heard anything and I can’t find where I put them. Is there somewhere a list of the questions I asked? Somewhere in my profile? Or somewhere. It would be nice to get some response. Sometimes I got replies within a few hours…

    Feeling a bit lost

Sorry about that! You can access your previous posts by either clicking your display name at the top of your screen where it says “Welcome, wolfganko” or by clicking “Member” underneath where it says “wolfganko” on one of your forum posts, such as this one. I hope that helps clear things up for you!

Some themes have Search bars that automatically come with them. This article has more info about this: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/search-widget/

Some themes have a search bar built into the header. In this case, if there is no option to remove it in My Sites → Themes, it is not removable. If you have the Premium or Business upgrade, you can hide it using CSS.

You may need to go with a different theme or an upgrade to get rid of the search bar. Hope that helps!

Thanks for your reply… unfortunately, I did not want to hear that… smile!

I am using the theme 2011 at the moment, which I like because of its simple layout.

I followed the links you mentioned. The theme I use does not give an option to remove the search function.

How am I going to find a theme with no search function? The only way I have worked out is through the “try and customize” option… but that takes ages.

    Any help is appreciated
