Where are my child pages?

Child pages are not appearing on the page. I have got round this by putting a custom menu on the side bar, but it is irritating that one of the drop down menus at the top will not work.
I originally used the theme Elegant Grunge, but it was so unstable that I changed it to one that I have used with success for two other Bligh. -fruit shake.

However, although this has stabilised the site one of the headings will display only one drop down page, although there are two.

I have now made the child page a child of a child and it displays in the sidebar, but not int the main menu.

If you changed themes, then the original menu you had set in the other theme would have been deactivated. Go back to the custom menu page and select the custom menu you created in the pulldown in the theme location module and save.

Also, unless you opt to have pages automatically added to the menu (they will be added as top level, not as children) then you have to add them manually and move them slightly to the right under the parent menu item.

Sorry, this is not the right solution for two reasons.
1 I did what you suggest before writing to this page. They were not added at top level either. They were created and saved. They display on the dashboard but not go the published page.

2 If you were right in your assumption why were the child pages for two other drop down menus not affected in the same way?

I can’t see your dashboard so I don’t know what you have done, or not done.

I’ll tag this for staff attention and when they come around they can go in and do it for you.

You haven’t put a Custom Menu widget on your sidebar, you’ve put a Pages widget. The Pages widget automatically displays all your published pages. But a custom menu only displays what you tell it to display; so if your top menu doesn’t include all your pages, you haven’t added all your pages to it: you need to go to Appearance > Menus, click View All in the Pages module, select the missing pages, click Add to Menu, drag to rearrange, save menu.
