Where are my comments? Any ideas please?! TQ
-
Hello!
I have 2 (!) comments! and I have approved both but they are not appearing on the blog itself – do you have any idea why please?
I’d really like them to be there, I look most unpopular without them! ;)
Thanks

In your Dashboard, click on either the Comments or Posts tab on the left side and you should be able to see which posts got the comments. http://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-comments/

I see a comment on this Post: http://rubydemuir.com/2011/03/24/a-superb-pedigree-x/
An answer for a question you did not ask – you are using a lot of Tags, try and keep your total Tags and Categories for any single Post to o more than 10 to 12 max. Too many Tags and your Post gets downgraded for being a Tag Spammer and your site can be excluded from the WordPress.COM Global Tags system.

Hello both of you! Thanks so much – and yes, I didn’t realise I shall remove some tags, thanks for that, auxclass :)
But, justjennifer, is there any way to get the comments to show up on the page when people get to it? I am sorry if I am being thick but I’d rather they showed up instead of people having to press the Comments link at the bottom of each post?
Thanks
B

Comments are always “collapsed” on the front page of your blog. On the front page your posts are “showcased” and it’s only when we click either the titles of posts or the comments link that the full posts display on their own individual pages and all comments are seen. This is the way all templates for themes are coded and we cannot edit themes or templates on wordpress.com blogs.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/Just imagine if you had a more mature blog that had many comments on all posts on your front page and they did not collapse. The blog would take a very long time to load causing many visitors to click out in frustration as the length of the front page could quickly become a mile long.

With the exception of the P2 theme, comments will only appear on the individual post. They won’t appear on the front page of your blog.
