Where are my spams listed
-
My blog, http://www.181society.wordpress.com shows that there have been 6 spam messages blocked. I would like to see them to ensure they are not legitimate comments. Where can I see them? How long are Akisimet blocked spams available to be reviewed?

Hi
Here are all answer again
-> Comments -> Akismet
I believe that if neglect to review the spam bin within 15 days the items in it are deleted.
Edit: Where does the spam go?
When the plugin catches something as spam it saves it in the database for 15 days in case you want to check it out manually and then automattically deletes it. In the unlikely event something gets incorrectly identified as spam you can correct it and it submits the “false positive” back to Akismet for analysis and improvement of our system. If a spam comment happens to get through and you mark it as spam within WordPress, it does the same thing. Akismet becomes more effective the more you use it.http://akismet.com/stats/

Dashboard -> Comments -> Akismet queue.
I think it’s 15 days before they get autodeleted. I’m on my locked down terminal so I can’t open up a new window to make sure.

My site has only been up a week but the Akisimet queue is show 0 but it says in the note that 6 spam have been blocked.

There is nothing that volunteers on the forum can do to help you with this. You can leave a message on the Akismet site or send a feedback into staff. http://akismet.com/contact/

FWIW, I was having problems with comments (and spam) getting dumped into Akismet but not showing up for several days. Even now, they seem to show up in batches of 5-10.
I sent a feedback in a week or so ago and was told it was fixed. But it may not be. So send in all the relevant details to staff through your dashboard.

Have you deleted some in the past? Please note that that ‘6’ is a running total, not a ‘how many are in the queue’ total.

I also just saw this
What if it shows a different number of comments then it has reported caught?
Some versions of the Akismet for WordPress plugin will hide duplicate comments, making it appear to be a different number caught than displayed.
over in the FAQs on askismet.com.
I have no idea is it refers to the plugin we use here at wp.com, but it’s a decent working theory.
