where are my views coming from

  I recently started a second blog, and I have received several visits, but never from an incoming link or a search engine. Where are these visitors coming from? Just trying to understand the process.

  thanks timethief, I understand how to promote my site, but I’m curious why I have visits yet no incoming links or search engine terms – where are the visits coming from?

  Unless I am missing something, the clicks are ‘real time’ and the reports in the dashboard are delayed. Is that correct? Maybe that explains this a bit?

  Folks clicking through the RSS feed for your blog, the next blog link in the blue bar along the top, folks who have you bookmarked.

  Trying to think of some more but those come to mind right off.

  Wondering if a program like http://www.sitemeter.com can be used on WordPress to identify the utl and other info for who is viewing the blog? Any familiarity with this?
