Where are my widgets?

    I changed my theme to

    Fauna by Joen Asmussen

A beautiful two-column theme with a gigantic flower header.
Options: Widgets | Menus | Background | Custom Design | iPad | Extras

In the Widget Section, I moved the widgets I want over to the Sidebar, they landed nice and smooth, but they are NOT on my blog! Where can they be?

On the left of my blog site is the menu area, “in this section” that states the sub menus of the main page but no widget area. Nothing at the bottom either.

Please help me share my widgets. I do enjoy this theme and don’t want to change, again… – no one can see my blog entries or join me on Facebook or Twitter without my widgets!

    Thanks,

    Andrea

  • Fauna only displays widgets on the main blog page (the one that contains all of the posts).

In your case, you have selected a static front page at Settings -> Reading in your blog’s Dashboard, but not a page for the blog’s posts, so your widgets will never display.

Oh my, well thank you! I guess that means that as much as I do like the aesthetics of this theme, it doesn’t suit my needs.

I wish that the themes came with more information to help us choose which ones would work best for us. I’ve had to change my site ten times and I still can’t find a theme that I like that does what I need.

Thank you so much for your time!

    Best,

    Andrea
