Where are subscribers coming from and should they be appearing on 'team'?

    Hi,

    Under the ‘people’ tab, alongside the pages for ‘followers’ and ’email followers’, it says ‘team’. I am listed here as admin. However, 4 other people (who i don’t know) are listed here as subscribers. When I write a new post, there is the option to list them as author. Why is this? Shouldn’t they appear with the other followers or email followers? It looks quite spammy to me, and I can’t find clear information anywhere.

    Hi there,

    My Sites ->People ->Team should only show users that were added in some contributor role on your site, not followers.

    worldhangover.com is a self-hosted WordPress.org site. I don’t have any access to your users list for that site as that is maintained via your WP-Admin dashboard, not via our system. The users under People should correspond to the users added in WP-Admin, but we only display the information we get from your site.

    Please log into your WP-Admin dashboard at worldhangover.com/wp-admin and navigate to Users ->All Users. There you can see and manage the users currently added to your site.
