Where are the blog creation tools?

I just joined WordPress, and am now looking to create a blog. Where within WordPress do I do that? I have created several blogs on Typepad and other platforms over the years, so I’m not clueless, I’m just lost.
Surely the link I need is right in front of me. Can someone push my nose against it? Thanks!
