Where are these Subscribers coming from?
-
I have many subscribers from WordPress, but there are not under my e-mail followers nor my WordPress followers. Where are they coming from?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Can you tell me more about this? Where are you seeing these subscribers if you don’t see them in your subscribers list? Can you give me an example of a user that’s missing from your subscriber list?

Hi Shawna! Thank you for your help.
Under my Users list, there are 103 people who have the role of a “Subscriber.” Every time one comes in, WordPress also e-mails me, telling me so. Here’s a screenshot of the people I’m talking about:
Yet, there is no e-mail subscription button on my website or blog anywhere. Also, I know they are not WordPress followers, because they do not show up under my WordPress list as well. See here:

Also, these people have odd e-mail addresses, which is making me think they are something like spam.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Thanks so much for those screenshots! :)
I believe you have registrations open on your site. You can close this through your dashboard at Dashboard > Options > General > “Anyone can register”.
This is a self-hosted specific issue, so you may want to follow up with the WordPress.org forums if what I suggested doesn’t stop this from happening.
