Where can I find good, high quality pictures?

  I am looking for a website or something so that I can find some good,free, high quality pictures to make my header look a little nicer etc. My problem is when I crop the picture to put it on my header, the picture turns out to be very blurry.

  Am I not choosing good enough pictures or am I not editing the pictures correctly? Everytime I try to put a picture onto my header, it always looks extremely pixelated and blurry.

  Most of those pictures on Google image search are copyrighted: not a great way to use images if they are taken without permission. You can contact the person who owns the copyright to ask permission.

  Or you can get someone to take photos for your header: a digital camera and some software to crop and compress the picture for your header.

  Or do a search for copyright-free images to use.

  You will need to edit the image for your theme:

  The suggested header image dimensions are 960 by 300 (width, height). However, the height is flexible so you can upload a smaller cropped image if you wish.

  There are a number of free, and paid for, image editing programs to crop your picture to the size you need.

  well, even a phone will take pictures you could use for a header
  (not my phone: it’s doesn’t have a camera…LOL but daughter and hubby can do it!)

  Thanks, I also found a great website with copyright-free images that look pretty nice, it’s called http://www.morguefile.com I actually found a picture that was extremely pixelated! I really appreciate your help
