Where can I find the editor in appearance to enter Nuffnang code?

  Is upgrading to custom domain considered self-hosted site? I cannot find the editor in appearance to put in the nuffnang code. Is it because I need to buy the $99 upgrade to be able to enter such codes?

  Thanks Rachel for the reply! After posting this query, I did an extensive search on the forum (I should have done that before posting this query, apologies!), and decided that wordpress.com has all the support I need for a non-tech person like me. I am still exploring the widgets that are available for me to customize my site. And seriously, I love the support wordpress has!
