Where can I find the Semicolon Magazine theme?
-
Hi,
I’m setting up a new WordPress blog for a friend who wanted to use the Semicolon Magazine theme – we just talked about 2 weeks ago, and when I went to start doing the work today, it’s not on the list. Is it no longer available? How do I find it – I went through the selections several times. Thanks,
TraceyThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That is not a WordPress.COM theme. Third-party uploads are not allowed on the .COM multi-user platform. The only themes that can be used for a WordPress.COM site are found in the directory.
Perhaps there is a similar theme that would work for your friend’s site.

Unfortunately, it now looks like when a theme is retired, it is no longer available to anyone, not just on new sites that have been set up.
You’ll have to choose another magazine-style theme.

@ifmomsaysok- then this is confusing: https://semicolondemo.wordpress.com/
Trying to activate it brings me to the Appearance>Themes section of my site’s Dashboard with a “Not Found” notice.

@jobrecht-I was thinking about this a little more. It’s also quite possible that you caught a new theme when it was being tested. It may just be a matter of time before it shows up again in your Dashboard. Thursdays are the day that new themes are usually announced.

That is weird @justjennifer because I couldn’t find it in the directory, nor on any retired list, only a .ORG version of it. It is a pretty theme, hopefully it will be offered soon.

Hello @ifmomsaysok and @jobrecht,
The theme you found in a fork of the original Semicolon theme from .com. There are quite a few similarities, but it’s been updated & changed a bit. @justjennifer is right—you caught this theme before we’d publicly launched it.
It’s now available here: http://themes.wordpress.com/apostrophe
You can download it for your .org site as well as use it on any site here on WordPress.com.
Cheers!
