Where can I get fusion theme?
-
All,
I have a wordpress site I am setting up (seperate from the dlvee one shown above). I found and downloaded the fusion theme shown here:
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/fusion/
I spent all day messing with the css to get it looking nice and then did something that completely screwed up the formatting..I thought..no problem..I’ll just delete it and re-install the theme. Well I did and the theme was changed considerably…the new theme no longer allowed sub-menu’s or custom menu’s at all for that matter! Can someone tell me where I can download the theme shown in the link above? Also the theme of my newly created dlvee page.
I’ve spent hours trying to find it tonight and now that I finally have there isn’t a download link!
Thank You!

This is where to get the self-hosted wordpress version of the theme.

The themes used here at wordpress.COM, typically do not work well on a self-hosted blog because themes here are modified to work within the restrictions and to support the unique features here at wordpress.COM.

hello and thanks for replying. Unfortunately this is not the same version of fusion as the one I linked to..this is the newer one where for some reason the customizable menu is gone…you will also notice the header and sidebar is different.

I know this theme is out there and downloadable somewhere for self-hosted wordpress pages because I was just using it. I just wish I had made a backup of the theme folder before messing up the .css!

No, the customizable menu was never in Fusion actually. The wordpress.COM version of Fusion was modified to support custom menus with dropdowns. I for the life of me cannot see why theme designers are not updating their themes to support custom menus as fast as they can. To me, this is a no-brainer as it is one of the most important features that has been added to wordpress in a long time.
You can download the wordpress.COM version here, http://svn.automattic.com/wpcom-themes/ , but you might have issues with it. In some cases I’ve even had to hack the PHP script files to get things to work properly on a self-hosted blog.

thanks for the path..I downloaded all the file but the header.php kept trying to open as an html file..I just took the contents of the html file and dumped them into a header.php file..we’ll see how it goes!
someone else must have hacked the fusion theme b/c the version I downloaded installed on my dreamhost wordpress site and had all the menu functionality (and other features I would expect). I just can’t understand why I can’t find the folder where I downloaded it…if only I could remember where I got it from. oh well off to try this one out…
thanks again!
