Where can I notify WordPress of a fraudulent email?

  I’ve received a fraudulent email regarding domain renewal. It was not from a WordPress user, but I think it is important to advise other users that someone might try to charge them $75 to register a domain name that has already been renewed for the year through WordPress. Can I forward the email to someone at WordPress for information’s sake?

  Hi there – Thanks for the head’s up! You’re free to forward it along to us (I’ll send you an email), but there’s unlikely much we can do about it. Unfortunately, there are unscrupulous organizations that send these out.

  Everyone should just be sure to always renew their domain through their WordPress.com account, or through the registrar they purchased it from if they didn’t buy it from us. :)
