where can I post a call for wordpress help. Need to revamp my blog
-
Hello,
I’m looking for the best place to post a call to designers to help me with revamping my blog. I’m sorry if this is not the right place for that. I need to redo my blog and I need someone to assist me with that project.
Thank you in advance,
Alain

You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.
This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you’ll find help at the WordPress.org forums.
If you don’t understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.
If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It’ll help people to answer your question.
This is an automated message.

As the supportbot suggests, the best place, if your blog is self-hosted, is over at wordpress.ORG’s support forums. That is where self-hosted blogs are supported.

Just wanted to ask Timethief a question that I never get a straight answer too. I have just been on your page, and all I want to know is how you did your categories? when you select a category you are then offered choice of subjeccts in the sections own menu page. How do you do that? I’m usint Twenty Ten and all it seems to do for me is drop downs, but how you have your menu bar is exactly what we need. Also on the right of you blog you have your Twitter etc badges? How did you do that too? Every time we come onto the forums we ask these two questions only to be sent off in the wrong direction. Please say you can help??
thanks TT

When you don’t get a straight answer that’s usually because you didn’t provide enough information for the Volunteers to understand exactly what you want to know and how to achieve whatever it is you want to do.when you select a category you are then offered choice of subjeccts in the sections own menu page.
1. I’m using the Inuit Types theme and although it does have dropdown menus from Parent Pages to child subpages, it does not have a cutom menu like you have on Twenty Ten.
You can create static pages and assign them to be either “Parent” pages or “child” sub-pages of a parent page.

I made an HTML table and uploaded social icon images into it and linked the images to my profile pages on the various sites. Then I placed it into a text widget and displayed it in my sidebar.

I just twigged to something. Which of my two blogs are you referring too?
If it’s the one linked to my username then it’s the free version of Inuit Types theme in black and white form wordpress.com, and I have only Parent Pages in the horizontal menu – no child pages.
If it’s actually my personal blog (wordpress.ORG) install that you are referring to then it’s wearing a paid version of the Inuit Types theme. The background is a coffee cream color and I have a custom menu and I have both Parent and Child pages. If this is the one you mean that version of the theme is not available at wordpress.COm. It has numerous customizable features – far too many to list here.
