Where can I tag my posts?

I’m going to sound totally newbie here, even though I’ve used the blogging system for over a year now, but where can I tag my posts? I looked everywhere. It did come with the installation of WordPress, correct? If so, where exactly is it located?

Are you hosted here at wordpress.com or are you using the software download from wordpress.org on a self-hosted blog? If you are self-hosted then you need to ask over at http://wordpress.org/support as we use different software here.

When you edit the post, there is a little box below where you put the text of your posts with a title that says”
Tags (separate multiple tags with commas: cats, pet food, dogs)
Put your tags for that post separated with commas in the box below that!

I’m hosting it on my own server, so it might operate differently, however, that site you gave isn’t much help.
I checked and checked and there’s no tag feature when editing. Only trackbacks. Do I need to install a tagging feature? Thanks for the responses, BTW.

Older versions of wordpress do not support tags. I think 2.1 or 2.2 and before. The new version, 2.3 does.

Ah! thesacredpath has it right, it is only wp 2.3 that has tags, but since that is not about blogs hosted here at wordpress.com, he also has it right and you need to ask over in the other forums:
