  I’m leaving this online for the education of forum regulars.

  This is a new form of spam. It’s designed not to look like spam. Instead of spamming a link, you spam a question. The idea is that (maybe) someone will google the answer and post the link for you – and it’s much more likely to be left online because it doesn’t look like spam. “Where can I download x” is the most common form but they’re branching out. Very common in comment spam also.
