where default Contact page output messages?

I’ve tested the message form on my default Contact page (theme Rebalance), and expected a message to be sent to my verified account email. But I’ve received nothing. How do I control where messages are sent? Currently I’ll have no idea if someone attempts to send me a message.

Hi there,
The two test messages you sent were flagged as spam, because they contained only random letters as content. You can see them in the spam folder in the Feedback section of the dashboard here:

If you want to test the contact form you’ll have to submit actual, proper messages, to ensure they don’t get treated as spam.
Actual submissions that don’t get filtered into spam will be emailed to your WordPress.com account email by default, unless you specified a different address when setting up the form:
