Where did comment go?

  This morning I left a comment on a blog I was excited to find. I clicked on notify of follow ups. I haven’t received any emails. When I return to the blog this afternoon, my comment on the blog is gone. I know it was there because I read it after I posted. It’s disappointing because I recently took a big step blogging about the subject myself (after seven years of experience with the subject), and I was hoping for others to show up.

  Is this the way blogs are on WordPress, comments deleted without notice?
  Is it acceptable to email the author to ask what happened?
  I’m not up to speed on the comment issue.

  Every blogger makes their own choice when it comes to approving comments. I would not contact the blogger but if you wish to you could leave another comment.

  Thank you for your input
  I think the contact the author is not a good idea.
  Leaving another comment isn’t a good idea.
  Once a comment is gone, I”m thinking now that’s a done deal, and I should move on.

  The comments are still there.

  I didn’t scroll down far enough or else it’s because I was looking when I wasn’t signed in to WordPress.
