Where did my sidebar go?
-
I purchased a new domain yesterday and my slide-out sidebar has disappeared. I also can’t seem to remove a wrong picture header. I cleared my cache and it hasn’t helped. Any ideas?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
My slide-out sidebar has disappeared
This has happened because there are no widgets on your sidebar panel here:
https://okayestmom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php
If you place a widget or two there, they should show up in your slideout sidebar!
I also can’t seem to remove a wrong picture header
Can you try removing the header image from the following page?
https://okayestmom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=custom-header
Just click “Remove Header Image” on that page.
Please let me know if you need anything else!

Thank you for your reply. I understand that I have no widgets, but I was wondering why they disappeared when I transferred my domain name. I don’t remember what order I had placed them in, and I have also lost some text from my text box. I hadn’t copied it anywhere else, so I was just wondering if there was a way to get it back automatically. I wish I knew how this happened so it won’t happen again!

Nevermind. I see that they have been placed in the “inactive” box. I can move them back. Sorry! (Still wondering how that happened, though!)

Yep! They should be in the “Inactive” box. It looks like you switched themes 5 days ago. When you switch themes, the widgets are often removed. This is because different themes have different widget areas. So, rather than guess where you want the widgets to be placed, the widgets are removed and placed in “Inactive”. You should be able to set them up on the new theme fairly easily though!
