Where did the dashboard go?
-
I am a teacher and my students use WordPress blogs. We frequently need to delete and edit categories. What has happened to your interface? I cannot get to the black column dashboard that used to have all the really useful controls. Your new gray column does almost nothing and makes your site worthless for my classes. Please explain to me what is going on!
Thanks, Lev

Okay, I stumbled upon this forum post
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/cant-acess-dashboard?replies=4#post-2555786
and can now access the dashboard by typing in this “secret” url.
I guess I can’t complain because you offer a free plan, but this new interface is not an improvement. I suppose my students will learn something from having to work around this.

The new interface is still a work in progress and is based on modern web technologies. It is much faster than the old one both on computers and mobile devices like smartphones and tablets.
The old interface, also called as WP-Admin, is still accessible either by adding /wp-admin at the end of your site address like this: http://brooklevyahoo.wordpress.com/wp-admin OR by clicking on WP Admin link at the end of the left hand side menu in the new interface.
Feel free to share if there is any specific thing you did not like about new interface.
