Where did The Happiness Engineers go?
-
For years, they helped me to build, refine and code in real time (except for the odd time no one could take my ticket). Now, there is no one. I still pay the same price, why the drop in the excellent and outstanding customer services that once was? Greed striking again? WordPress Engineers were fantastic. WordPress is making a mistake and will lose lower-skilled developers like me. That is the only thing that made building possible. Just food for though wordpress. Definite quality drop in service in that area this past 6 months or so.
PLEASE, BRING THE HAPPINESS ENGINEERS BACK! THEY WERE THE BEST THING ABOUT WORDPRESS.
And now, the bot is blocking me from even submitting a new ticket. I want the service that was advertised and that I paid for please… for the last 3-4 years.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Usually they’d have it sorted… the last 48 hours, when I ‘copy’ a post, a blank post comes up instead. I cannot troubleshoot this. Happiness Engineers used to do that! Now I cannot even contact one by clicking for help.

Hello there,
Thank you for sharing your concerns about the changes in WordPress.com’s support. We understand your frustration, especially as someone who has relied on personalized assistance for coding and site development in the past. While there have been changes to the support structure, WordPress.com remains committed to providing high-quality, personalized assistance to all users. Here’s how you can get the help you need:
- Human Support: The team of Happiness Engineers is still available for complex issues, coding assistance, and when you prefer human interaction. To reach them:
a. Open the Help Center by clicking the question mark icon in the upper right corner of your dashboard.
b. Click “Still need help?” at the bottom of the Help Center.
c. In the chat window, type “Connect me to a Human”.
d. Click “Contact WordPress.com Support” to reach the support team.
Additionally, for quicker responses to common questions, WordPress.com has introduced an AI-powered assistant named Wapuu. While it can’t replace the personalized coding help you’re used to, it can often provide quick answers or point you in the right direction for many issues.
By following these steps, you can connect with a Happiness Engineer to address your concerns and receive the support you need. WordPress.com remains committed to providing quality assistance to all users, whether through AI support like Wapuu or direct interaction with the expert support team.

I’ve tried everything the above commenter chummypixels stated but have yet to hear back from a human in almost a week. Like OP I used to be able to get help whenever I needed, but now I don’t see how it’s going to be possible for a regular person to carry on with WordPress if they’ve gotten rid of their live chat feature and this is the pace customer service responds now.

While going through the Help Center to reach to our Human support, you can simply mention “Connect me to a Human” and that should prompt the bot to move the conversation to Happiness Engineers. Let us know if that’s still not working for you.
Let us know how it goes. Until then, you can directly email us at help@wordpress.com and our Happiness Engineers should be able to help you via that channel.

staff-galakate I’ve been trying both options you mentioned for a week now. I’ve even tried reaching out on my social media accounts. But I haven’t gotten a response.

I’m sorry to hear you’re still facing issues after following the correct steps to reach us.
If possible, could you share a screen recording of the steps you’re taking so that we can check and report to our team about the same? Feel free to send the recording to us via email as that is where we can help you much better.
-
staff-galakate to clarify I’ve been reaching out to that same email you directed me to for a week now but haven’t gotten a response yet.

We haven’t received any email from your registered email address with us in our system. I can only see the forums opened by your account, which you can see here: https://wordpress.com/forums/users/britx3/replies/
I’ve emailed you on your registered email address on your WordPress.com account. It has the subject “[WordPress.com] Unable to reach to WordPress.com support”. Kindly share the screenshot/ screen recording of the steps you’re taking to reach to Happiness Engineer via the Help Center so that we can evaluate the issue. -
staff-galakate Thank you so much for responding. I emailed you back all of my attempted communication since August 4th along with what my problem is that I need assistance for. Looking forward to resolving this matter!
-
@faithinchangepublishing We’ve realized we need to prioritize our fastest responses according to urgency (like when someone’s site goes down), so you might not get an immediate response from our team as frequently as before. Rest assured, we’re still here and will get back to you as quickly as possible!
