Where do I find and edit my WordPress template?
-
I have changed from Blogger to WordPress earlier this year and am frustrated by not being able to access the template’s html code to add buttons in the sidebar. I have just subscribed to the annual $14.97 CSS fee, but this doesn’t seem to be what I need.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No, it probably isn’t. You may wish to request a refund.
You can edit themes with an independently-hosted blog. Here, you can only edit the CSS to modify the look of an existing theme. Mine is a CSS-modified blog, and there are many creative examples, but there is no upgrade other than the VIP status which enables you to modify the actual underlying theme files of a WordPress.com blog.

Adding buttons to the sidebar can be done with text widgets as long as you aren’t trying to use javascript, flash or iframes.

But you can add various items in your sidebar via Appearance>Widgets. “Text” widgets, in particular, accept html (but no javascript or flash).

I should add, only VIP status will enable you to add javascript, flash, and/or iframes, but it costs $600 a month.
Which specific buttons do you want to add, and what do you want them to do? There may be a free workaround.

Thanks, everyone, for your help. I’m trying to locate the button I thought I wanted to add. But, in any case, I am disappointed I don’t have the kind of control over my blog in WordPress I enjoyed inside of Blogger. But I am satisfied in other ways. Not sure if, on balance, I feel good about WordPress at this moment.
