where do I find my ip/hostname

  hostgator is going to transfer my website over and I can not find my ip/hostname for wordpress

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You do not have a domain name of your own so the IP address is irrelevant. This blog http://shillingsdimensionsinc.wordpress.com/ is a free blog being free hosted by WordPress.com on a WordPress.com subdomain. Hostgator hosts WordPress>ORG installs on their own domains.

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate.

  1. Hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/andpurchase a domain.

  2. Set up a WordPress.org install and equip it with a theme and plugins.

  3. Export your content out of your WordPress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/ and import it into the WordPress.org install.

  4. Transfer subscribers https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/migrating-wordpresscom-followers-to-new-self-hosted-site?replies=1

  5. Set your wordpress.com blog visibility to private. To change blog visibility to private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  NOTE: WordPress.com and WordPress.org have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names.   What I posted above is correct so email exactly what I said in the first paragraph above to Hostgator staff, so they know you have no domain of your own as yet.

  There is no permanent static IP address for any WordPress.com blog. All IPs are dynamic ie. ever changing. Therefore WordPress.com does not provide static IP addresses.
