Where do I find the 'subscribe by email' widget to add to my blog?

    I have launched a number of blogs historically and the most effective way for me to build a follower database is to allow people to subscribe via email.

    I cannot find this widget in the latest version of WordPress.com, despite paying almost $100?

    It seems that the only alternative is to switch to a wordpress.org page, and install Jetpack?

    Please help?!

    Hello there,

    No problem. You can still add an email subscription button.

    Go to Appearance → Widgets. Add the Follow Blog widget into your sidebar.

    I see you already added a Follow Button, but the Follow Blog widget has a different function. With Follow Blog, you can add an email signup form.
