Where do I purchase the $13 upgrade to map my existing domain??
-
Can I map my free WordPress blog domain to the domain name I got through GoDaddy, or do I have to upgrade to a ‘premium’ or ‘business’ plan to be able to do this? (I also keep seeing that I might just have to purchase a $13 upgrade, but I cannot find where to purchase this.) I’m stuck, please help!!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The domain mapping upgrade can be found in your site’s Dashboard>Store>Store>Add a Domain
The Domain Mapping Upgrade allows you to use a custom domain name, such as example.com, instead of a standard WordPress.com domain name—like example.wordpress.com—for your blog.
=Your own domain name looks way better on your business cards.
=Use popular email providers to create a personalized email address ((email visible only to moderators and staff))
=You can create subdomains mapped to different sites.
=Own your domain – your address won’t change, even if you leave WordPress.com.Domain name registration plus domain mapping costs $18.00 ($13.00 for mapping, $5.00 for registration) per year, per domain.
If you already have registered a domain, mapping is just $13.00 per year, per domain.

Thanks for your quick response. However, when I go to Dashboard>Store>Store, I am only taken to the 3 column table with “Beginner”, “Premium”, and “Business” plans. There is not an option to Add a Domain there.
For days I have been going in circles through the site trying to find it, and I’m sooo frustrated! If you find the page I should be on, could you possibly attach a link? (Or how do I call customer support directly??)
-
So you don’t see “Add a Domain” in Dashboard>Store>Store? The Add a Domain is right under the banner ad for the Premium bundle
Here’s what I see (screenshot).
If you don’t see that, could you please take a screenshot and post the link here? Thanks! http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/

Whoa, that is not what I see at all. Unfortunately, this is a new laptop and I can’t get my screenshot to work, but when I go to my Dashboard>Store>Store, it takes me straight to this page:

I’ll keep trying to get a screenshot. Thanks so much for your help!

Okay, I have a screenshot, but I don’t know how to include it here. Sorry, not super computer savvy. That link should take you to exactly what I see though.

This is the link that should bring you to the individual upgrades page for your site. Only you will be able to access it.
I have a feeling that for some users, the link in Dashboard>Store>Store now leads directly to the page you’ve indicated. That was very informative. Thanks for posting it.
If you follow the instructions in the Support doc I linked to above on making a screenshot, once you’ve saved your file as a JPG file in an image editing program, you can upload it to your WPcom website and link it here in the forum.

OK-then. Time to get Staff involved when people only want to buy a single upgrade and are being redirected to buy a bundle.
I’ve tagged this for Staff assistance. If you are not subscribed to this thread, please do so from the link in the sidebar so that when they reply you’ll see their answer.
Since they usually reply on an age-basis (oldest first) it’s really important not to bump this thread with any additional replies. Please be patient.

I’ve removed the tag for Staff input since there’s been a Staff response here, https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/domain-mapping-upgrade-8?replies=13#post-2065889 but it doesn’t seem to be entirely correct.
It appears that you CAN still purchase the domain name with mapping upgrades by clicking on the “Domains” link in the “Upgrades” sidebar on the page you linked to earlier. Please let us know if that works out for you.

That does not work for me. If I go to Domains>Map an Existing Domain, I can enter in the domain I want to use, but as soon as I click “Map this Domain” it says “You need to select a plan for this site before you can map this domain.” And, you guessed it, clicking on ‘select a plan’ takes me to the page where I can only purchase the Premium or Business bundle.
(seen here: https://wordpress.com/domains/map/lisajensenart.com/)
Now that I read the other thread with the Staff response, it sounds like that is exactly what is happening to me, which makes me angry. It’s one thing to decide to switch over to bundling instead of individual upgrades (which I am not at all thrilled about, since I have a very, very basic site), but at least be straightforward about it. I’ve wasted so many hours trying to figure this out–trying every possible link I could find, posting on multiple forums, watching how-to’s on youtube, etc — and now you’ve had to spend your time helping me as well.
These past few weeks have been my first experience with WordPress, and because of this whole issue I’m not super impressed. (Although you have finally been helpful- thank you.)

Hi there,
Sorry about that! I had our team take a look and mapping your domain should work now. Can you try mapping it again and let me know if you run into any more trouble with it?
