Galois, I appreciate not only your time and knowledge, but I also appreciate your preparedness. I was reasonably sure, but in attempting to save time, I bit off more than I could chew by choosing to upgrade at this time. I will return, to read the rules first… Thank You! -

May I add more to what galois said please?A blog is a website. A blog is a post based website designed for interactive communication. As the posts are frequently updated and appear on the front page of the site it’s very attractive to search engines.
What most people call a website is merely a page based site that functions as a one way noticeboard. As the structure is page based and as pages are for static content that rarely changes, and as pages do not have RSS feeds it is not as attractive to search engines as a post based blog structured site is.

We frequently get people here who think they can design their own sites and themes. This is not possible here at WordPress.COM but it is possible if you hire a web host and set up a WordPress.ORG install.
The only themes we can use on free hosted WordPress.com blogs are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs for security reasons and we cannot:
upload any third party themes,
create child themes,
create our own themes,
edit templates,
create own own layouts,

On one hand, none of the characteristic “blog” features like categories, tags, authors, dates, etc. can be removed from a free hosted WordPress.com blog, without purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade and doing the required CSS editing.

Timethief, I do appreciate all of this great attention I am receiving; but as I said, the upgrade mixed with the thought that maybe I should have waited until I was more collected, for fear I would settle for less than what is desired. We are premium now, and notinmyworld.org.
I agree with what you imply about Web Sites, or “Most Websites” anyway. They are like the old Libraries, Dusty and Quiet.
But that is not who we are, we are a Google+ Circle of friends, who grew up with morals and a code of conduct; we love our families and kids. Instead of just talking about what is wrong in our Country, we made a page and are changing what we can. acta non verba. The 2 founders grew up in a dangerous abusive home, in a very racially biased town. Unlike the stereo type wife beaters, underachievers, repeat offenders; in 1990 IBM couldn’t get the bugs out of the FIRST Handicapped Accessible PC, which had the first Dragon Software also, although Vol-talker was already out, but worked only on phonemes. Two teams were assembled, one from IBM, and one from Compu-Answer. Within 2 months the documented fixes went back to IBM with the Man who led the IBM Team, his name is E. F. I honestly don’t believe anything less than 7 pages will meet the need. Are you aware that the numbers on any kind of Child Abuse are sky rocketing
(1) – 2.9 million reports of child abuse every year in the United States.
(2) – . There are an estimated 50,000 slaves in the United States and an additional 17,500 are being trafficked into the country every year. That is more people being enslaved annually than during legal slavery in America’s dark history. -
