where do i start?

Hi guys
I did have a quick look at a few other theme’s I tried one called albeo or something? had bit of pink in. It didn’t show my pages in right order though when I went to look at my site, even though when i was in dashboard and edit pages they were showing in order I had put them in, so sticking with original theme for now until I have finished putting my background info up and started blogging.
I use copy and paste alot to compensate cos my typing is slow these days due to co-ordination difficulties so I’ll have to learn how to ‘strip the junk codes’. Though saying that my posts on assistive technology turned out ok, although I found it easier to delete the pics and upload them again as they seemed to come across really massive. With a bit of backspacing and deleting so words went all the way across to end it has come out ok and saved me alot of re-typing.
Only have one more large page of text to do this way and then my blogs will be typed on the day I write them. It helps when you can save and come back to them later for longer posts.
I looked at fonts when I changed to a different theme, I tried the Toni one in purple but it mentioned having to pay if you wanted choice of fonts?
I switched back to original for now but managed to get a bit of pink into header and got my front page back! Hoping to finish all background info by end of this weekend.

Do not use copy/paste. You will screw yourself up eventually with it, even if you think you’re good at stripping out junk code. I’ve been here four years, I’m a professional blogger, and I have something like 600 PAGES of questions answered in the technical help forums, and still copying and pasting causes me problems. Just don’t do it.

More precisely, don’t copy-paste from Word or other rich sources directly into the visual editor. It’s ok if you paste via the “Paste as Plain Text” button (visual editor, second row), or if you paste into the html editor.

Changing fonts for your whole blog requires the paid CSS upgrade no matter what theme you’re using.
Changing fonts on a post-by-post basis (as well as in text widgets) requires no upgrade – see here:

oh! I pasted last lot of long text from ‘my notes’ section of Facebook as I had already written out a good explanation of what Ataxia is. It is displaying OK on my screen and so is the video from You Tube.
(watch out for me and Inca at 0.45 – changes from drawing to photo)
I finished with pasting now as only have Inca’s story to do (in background info pages) and I have never written that out before so will have to do that from scratch anyway.
All blogs will be typed fresh on the day. Think I’m getting the hang of things now! Let me know what you think if you visit. :O)
