Where do you post ads to promote products on your website?

  I just became an affiliate marketer and would like to know where I could post my advertisements on your website. I did see that you couldn’t post links that refer people to ClickBank or websites that show people how to make money online. But, what if you are advertising a product? Where would you post it? To me the website is not user friendly. I get confused when I try to look for the parts of the website where I can post. It needs to be a little more simplified.
