where does my trafic coming from?
-
Hello
In my email signature I have wisestamp installed with a link to my blog. How can I track how much traffic I got via this link to my website?
So far I only can see linkedin, facebook and search engines!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there.
If the people clicking on your email signature are using webmail clients that send referrer headers (e.g. mail.yahoo.com), those will show up in the Referrers section of your stats. If, however, there is no referrer header sent by the email client, then we don’t know the source of that traffic and can’t show it.
It’s also worth noting, that browsers don’t always send details of the referring URL to us, and so we don’t always have the ability to fully report your Referrers.
Let me know if that helps out, or if you have any extra questions.

Hello
so what u are saying is that you I cannot see the traffic coming from this signature right? My signature is done with the service “wisestamp”.
Thanks

Hi Mario.
If the people who’ve clicked on your signature are using a webmail client that sends out referrer headers to us, we’ll be able to provide that information to you in the Referrers section of your site’s stats. However, we won’t be able to collect the information if the webmail client they’re using doesn’t send our referrer headers.
So, some URLs in the Referrers section may indicate that a user has clicked on your signature from an email, for example, mail.yahoo.com. It’s not always possible for us to collect such information, however, and so you won’t be able to get a full picture on how many people are clicking on your signature.
