WHERE HAS MY BUTTON GONE?
-
Hi. I currently have a wordpress blog. I used to have a button on my firefox toolbar where after a blog entry, at the bottom, before I published if I clicked on this button it would add a like & follow buttons for facebook etc.
I recently had to reinstall my OS and I ‘ve lost the button & can’t remember how to get it back. Can anyone help? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, looking at your older posts, for example, this one, it looks like you were using this button from Lockerz.
Note that we have excellent sharing features built into WordPress.com, too. You can configure them (sharing as well as automatically publicizing) via Settings > Sharing. For more info, please see: http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/

Hi.
I’ve had a go at altering my settings to allow sharing & following. Would you mind taking a look as a reader & letting my know if the options to share or subscribe are clear enough?
Cheers.
Mike.

It’s a matter of personal preference, of course. Most bloggers find that it’s helpful to enable sharing buttons on front page, archive, and search results (you can check that option under Settings > Sharing), and to include multiple sharing options (right now, you only have Email and Facebook – maybe you wish to add a couple of other popular ones, e.g. Pinterest and Twitter?)

I only have facebook & email. I’m not a great social network butterfly lol. If I added twitter, would it matter if I don’t have an account? Could people still pass it around themselves…?

You don’t need a Twitter account to enable sharing by Twitter. It will enable your readers (if they are so enclined) to share the links to your blog posts via their Twitter accounts.
