Where has my customer header gone?

  I logged on to my blog and the default header is showing instead of my customized header. The numbers 404 are in the upper left corner. When I try to change back to my customized header I receive a white page with black letters:
  404
  Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/03/11223703/html/wp-content/themes/pretty/functions.php:1) in /home/content/03/11223703/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1121

  What do I do? I am not technical, or that knowledgeable, of WP. Please help.
