Where has my site gone!

  Was a bit late on payment for the business plan – which is now paid. How to I get me site back – with all the CSS customization I had on it?

  Also, is there anywhere quicker to do this? Paying for the business plan doesn’t seem to give much extra support – I can find anywhere to contact someone about this problem. Very disappointed.

  With the WordPress.com Business plan, you have to access to live chat support in your site’s dashboard when our support team is available (Monday to Friday, between 7am and 7pm US Eastern time). You can also contact us to get direct support.

  Thanks Rachel, Actually looking for all my custom CSS and widgets on the front page. Will contact directly. Working from Australia, so the time difference is a bit of a pain.

  Ah, sorry, now I see what you mean. Your site was switched to a free theme when the Business plan expired — switching themes can deactivate custom CSS and widgets, but they aren’t lost.

  To get the widgets, you can head to Appearance > Widgets in the site’s dashboard. At the bottom of the widgets page, there’s an “Inactive Widgets” section where all of your previous widgets are saved. You can drag those widgets back into place in your theme’s widget areas to reactivate them.

  To reactivate your custom CSS, you can head to your site’s Customizer under Appearance > Customize in the site’s dashboard. In the Customizer, open the CSS section and click on “CSS Revisions” in the top right. That will take you to the CSS revisions area where you can review and restore custom CSS that your site was using before.
