Where has official customer support for hosted blogs gone?

I’m trying to contact a support person in the same manner as I have done in the past, (having paid for a domain mapping upgrade etc.) but now the support form simply culminates in a form to submit queries on the public forums. I’m authenticated as admin in my blog, and using the help menu in my Dashboard.
Has something changed here in the past few months?

Staff is at a conference through 25 February.
The support contact form will be closed to all but folks who have purchased an upgrade in the last 30 days.
You can post your question here, and perhaps one of us volunteers can help, or if not then there are still staff monitoring these forums for “modlook” in the tag. Or you can wait until the conference ends to post your question.

Thanks for the information, good to know I’m not losing my mind. My query can wait until post-25th, so I’ll hit the contact form around then.
