  I AM FURIOUS. I COMPOSED A LONG REPLY TO A COMMENT ON MY BLOG AND WORDPRESS SIMPLY LOST IT. I HIT THE “POST COMMENT” BUTTON AND IT DISAPPEARED. WHAT IN HELL IS GOING ON???

  So I see that “support” means that there is no one who will take responsibility for the behavior of the software and it’s up to the users to find ways to deal with it on their own and among themselves. OK. Help me out if you can. Here’s what happened. WordPress sent me an e-mail with a link to a comment. I followed the link, composed a lengthy reply and when I hit “post comment” it said “sorry, you are not logged in, please log in.” When I tried to log in it claimed my password was incorrect and forced me to get a new password. I did so, logged back in and lo, my reply had disappeared.

  My solution: never compose on wordpress. Is there another?

  Take a copy of your comment before you hit submit. That works too.
