where is actual wp version written on admin site??? please

  Could anyone help where is the actual version of wordpress written. And why I am not having a plugins button in my dashboard.

  This isn’t the forum you want. You want the wordpress.org forum. This forum covers the free wordpress.com blogs. There are no plugins on wordpress.com

  This site, love-glass.co.uk , is self-hosted. It can use plugins and in the admin will show a version number.

  This site, http://loveglass.wordpress.com/ , which is linked to your username is hosted here at wordpress.COM. We cannot use plugins at wordpress.COM and we don’t really have a version number here, because staff makes code and bug changes here daily, but we are always basically on the latest wordpress version.
