where is my blog

  I spent hours creating a website; just to realize to access it you would have to add /wordpress….so I paid to get that removed. Now my blog is gone. WordPress has kept all my recorded info from my first website creation but now all I get is that purple screen WITHOUT the changes I made for the name and that tag line. How do I get it to except my changes?
