Hi!
I’m sorry to hear this process has been frustrating. Currently, it looks like your domain according2atonya.com is currently loading your WordPress.com site according2atonya.wordpress.com. So, it looks like your blog (according2atonya.com) is up and running correctly. Can you let me know if the domain is working correctly on your side as well?
If this isn’t what you’re looking for (according2atonya.com to reflect according2atonya.wordpress.com), could you explain a bit more? I noticed you’ve been working with jbruu here and mentioning Wix:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/resetting-dns-records-to-default-settings
If you could clarify exactly what you’re looking to happen, I’m happy to help you set it up!

FINALLY, THANK YOU! Yes the domain is working fine & i have my blog back, praise the LORD! Now i just want to connect my blog to my external Wix site.

Hi!
Now i just want to connect my blog to my external Wix site.
I can definitely help you with that. First, I just want to clarify exactly what you mean. Wix and WordPress.com are two different services. So, your domain (according2atonya.com) can’t load both your Wix site and your WordPress.com site at the same time. For an analogy, you can envision it like driving a car; you can’t drive your car to two separately places at once.
We have two main options:
- You can leave your domain pointing to WordPress.com and then create your content here
- You could point your domain to your Wix.com site and create your content there. In this instance, your domain would not show anything on your WordPress.com site.
Could you elaborate on what you’re looking to do?

I recently went in and connected my wordpress domain (www.according2atonya.com) to my external wix site, but im keeping wordpress as the registrar.
I want to now have users who visit my wix site at http://www.according2atonya.com, be able to also view my wordpress blog, and i thought that i could do this by creating a subdomain at wordpress like (blog.according2atonya.com) and link it to my external wix site. That is what i’ve read from support here on wordpress. Is that correct or incorrect? Can i do this? Thx -
Just FYI, i think i’ve just made my life easier. I decided to just create another blog w/the same theme & the same name as the original but w/a different blog address, linked it to my external wix website, and so far it’s exactly what i wanted, the wordpress blog is connected and showing. I’d still like an answer to my question posed earlier, but i may have found an alternate solution.

Hi!
Thanks for clarifying! So, it looks like the domain according2atonya.com is correctly loading your Wix site. Now, in order to have your blog setup at blog.according2atonya.com, you’ll need to follow the instructions here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/#instructions-for-mapping-subdomains
The tricky part is since the name servers on your domain according2atonya.com are pointing to Wix, your DNS records are now controlled there as well. So, you’ll need to enter a CNAME record at Wix that points blog.according2atonya.com to blogaccording2atonya.wordpress.com.
Then, you’ll just need to purchase a mapping upgrade on blogaccording2atonya.wordpress.com here:
https://blogaccording2atonya.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php
You’ll want to purchase the mapping upgrade for blog.according2atonya.com.
Can you give those two steps a try? If you have any trouble, please let me know!
