where is my domain?
-
hey there!
i had a domain (annaknopf.com) and i think i unfortunately deleted it, but i just wanted to have it offline. Now i wanted to manage this domain and everywhere they say i have no domain and i have no blog.
i also tried to add my domain. but it said the domain is used by a different account. Im not understanding this. is it possible to manage my domain again? i hope there is a way… (and i hope you can understand the problem – my english is very bad…) -
Hi knopfanna,
You have cancelled the domain and deleted your site. The domain hasn’t been released yet, which is why you are unable to purchase it.
I can restore the domain but I’ll need you to do the following:
1. Create a new site in your knopfanna account
2. The plan has already been refunded, so please purchase a plan for your new site
Once you’ve done that, I will add the domain to your new site.
Let me know if you have any questions :)

Hi knopfanna,
Thanks for purchasing a plan — I’ve added the domain to your new site :)
But is it possible to change from wordpress.com to wordpress.org after i purchased a new plan?
You can, yes. Depending on what you want from your new site, there are two options:
1. Move to WordPress.org
With this option you can either keep your domain at WordPress.com and point it to your new site, or transfer it to a new registrar. We have a step by step guide about the process of moving from WordPress.com to WordPress.org here:
2. Upgrade to the Business plan
The Business plan now enables you to install plugins and upload themes. There is a list of features on your Plans page:As you have already purchased a Personal plan, you would only need to pay the difference between the two.
I’m happy to answer any questions you have!
