Where is my Domain after cancelling trial??
-
I signed up with bluehost and canceled my free trial. It won’t let me transfer my domain because it has been less than 60 days (thanks for making that clear before I canceled, NOT), so now I have paid for something that appears to be unusable for 60 days. Please tell me there is a way to release it.

See here please https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/

However, if you canceled the transaction without retaining the domain name then you need to post what it is here, and then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Regarding your first links. I have attempted to follow your instructions, but there is NO EDIT button.

You will need staff help to see if they can retrieve your custom domain name from the cancel bin
Someone has flagged this for the staff to help

@auxclass
Hi there,
whatisshebuying tagged the thread with modlook as I explained how to do that above. Know that from here on until Thanksgiving when I will be gone, I intend to teach other bloggers how to get help when I answer questions here. -
You can see that it was not your flag – I can’t so when the flag is set and I did not set it – I just mention that it has been flagged – I figured they probably flagged it but was not sure

So, has anyone with wordpress actually looked at this? I’ve been thinking a blog title when I’m done with this whole process is “10 Things I Hate About WordPress.”

It can take a few hours for the staff to check the forum and help – here is the list of people needing help from the staff

Thank you! What is the benefit to you of responding to these, if you do not work for WordPress?

Hi there,
When you cancelled your free trial, you also cancelled the domain whatisshebuying.com that you had registered. Cancelling a domain name means you give up ownership of it. Usually newly registered domains that are cancelled will be released within 1-2 weeks — after the domain is released you can try registering it directly at Bluehost, although there’s no guarantee of when or if it will become available for you to do that.
If you prefer, you can pay for the domain and I can try to recover the cancelled domain for you here at WordPress.com. That way you can point it to your Bluehost site right away. If you’d like to do that, please let me know and I can help you with that process.

Thanks Rachel. I may be interested in purchasing it and redirecting nameservers. Will that be the $26 that was listed when I canceled?
Just a suggestion–you may want to let whoever does the communication on these things know that for non-IT professionals like me, it needs to very clearly state “If you decline to keep the domain with us, it may be unavailable to you in the future”, rather than just, “You’ve paid $0 with your free trial. Do you want to pay $26 more and keep the domain?” Since I purchased the domain option with bluehost, I assumed bluehost could just pick it up. I’m sure this is probably a no brainer for someone who is a pro, but for the average Joe, it was extremely unhelpful. -
Thanks for that feedback!
If you’d like to keep the domain, it will be $26. (That will register the domain name for a year, regardless of whether you keep the domain registered here at WordPress.com or transfer it to Bluehost at some point during that year.) I just sent you an email with the details in case you decide to go ahead with that.
