Where is my free domain?
-
Hi there. I upgraded to WordPress premium a week ago, and as part of this upgrade I received a free domain. For a while it was offered to me at the top of my dashboard, but I kept forgetting to claim it, but it now seems to have vanished. When I go to try and get a domain, WordPress asks me for $18! How can I claim my free domain?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

(Just in case of confusion – the blog is technically http://vanstreetsoccer.wordpress.com – I’m just mapping another domain across from Yola)

Hi there,
WordPress.com Premium includes a free credit to register a new domain for your blog, or to map an existing domain you already own. You mapped the domain vancouverstreetsoccer.com to your blog, which used the free domain credit.
You are welcome to register a new domain at the regular price if you would like to use another domain with this blog or another blog on your account. Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

Hi rachelmcr,
Thanks for the response. That makes sense. Question, though: it is possible to remove (or un-map) that vancouverstreetsoccer.com domain, and then claim a WordPress domain gratis? Or not?

Sure thing! If you’d rather not use vancouverstreetsoccer.com with your blog, I can remove the domain mapping and reset your free domain credit for you. Then you can register a new domain (or map a different one). Just let me know and I’d be happy to take care of that for you!
