Where Is My Post??
-
I just made a new post, called “An Introduction” – but when I bring up my page, IT DOESN’T SHOW IN “Recent Posts”
It doesn’t show ANYWHERE!
If I use the “search bar” I can find it. But I need this to go into my menus so that readers know it is there and can find it, this is CRAZY…help!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ok, Never mind. I created a new Menu, and moved the post into that menu. But why doesn’t it also show up in “Recent Posts”?
-
By the way, it also does not show up in my archives!
What settings do I not have set up right?
This is frustrating!!

Ok, now I am really confused!
I understand on one level, but not on another. How do I specify whether I want something to be a post or a page?
And can I make posts UNDER a page? If so…how so?It’s ok for “An Introduction” to be a page, if posts can then be done UNDER that. But how do I specify, when I begin writing…whether I want something to be a post or a page?
I am confused as hell….

I hope you are not using the Blue Death Editor (beep beep boop)
When in your main Dashboard – drop down on the left sidebar and click on Posts or Pages – then click on Make New – that gets you editing a Page or Post with the Classic (good) Editor ( I don’t use the Blue Death Editor – too many reported problems in the forum )
-
Yes, was using the Blue Death Editor…did not know there was another way. I will try what you suggest.
Thank you!My problem was I could not figure out how to tell it whether I wanted it to be a post or a page!
-
Nope…still get Beep beep boop, Blue Death.
And I am not seeing what you say I should be seeing.
When I hover over “My Site” I get these options under “Publish”
Blog Posts (and an add button alongside)
Pages (and an add button alongside)
Media (and an add button alongside)
New (with an arrow alongside, which, if you hover over it, says “Testimonials”And that is all I get under Publish.
And any button I press takes me to Blue Death Editor.

Try the link below to get to your Dashboard & the good classic editor – that is if I can translate the link from my site
https://diabetesgal.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php
yes WordPress.COM seems to be dedicated to keeping you out of the main Dashboard
