Where is my sidebar on the front page of my blog?

  Can’t find my sidebar and widgets, where are they?

  Do not assume that every theme is designed to have a sidebar on every page in the blog please, because not every theme is designed that way at all. You can consult your theme description here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/twentytwelve/ and locate the details on widget position and display. Scroll down to “Front Page Template”. Also note that widgets now have “visibility” settings so we can select which pages they display on. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibility
