  My site has completely vanished. What happened? The name of the site was the Trustyveteran.com

  So, it appears the site you referenced (Trustyveteran.com) is being hosted by Hostgator, which means if you were utilizing WordPress, it was via WordPress.org as opposed to WordPress.com, which is where you have posted your question.
