  When I cancelled my domain with Hostgator I was surprised to find that my WordPress.com site was cancelled too. I lost all of my Bio and other features. What happened to my site? I was going to get a domain with you instead of Hostgator. Why has my site been cancelled altogether? My site name is http://www.therealtrumanshow.com

  Hi there:

  Your site was hosted with HostGator, so when you cancelled things there, it also cancelled your website there.

  WordPress.com is a managed hosting provider of the open-source WordPress software – but you can use the WordPress software on other hosting providers, which appears to have been your case.

  You should contact HostGator as soon as possible to see if they can recover your domain and site. Once they do so, you can migrate that site to WordPress.com by following the steps here:
