Where is "Post format"?

I need to clean up the appearance of posts. A the moment, each post has a cluttered header like this:

Posted: 2011-10-21 Friday | Author: Paul@MVCC | Filed under: Cohousing, Uncategorized | Tags: aging in place, baby boomers, cohousing, downsizing, intentional communities, seniors | Modify: Edit this |

I want to suppress the clutter; just leave date and author. BUT

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-formats/ says:

You can find the Post Format to the right of the post editor, underneath the Publish box.

(I wish remarks like this would actually spell out the page they’re talking about, instead of “to the right of the post editor”…)

Guessing that it means xxx.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new, when I go there, I cannot find “Post Format” anywhere on the page. Underneath the Publish box, there’s a box marked Categories, and below that a box marked Tags. Nothing on the page says Formats. So how _do_ you find Post Formats?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
