Where is the classic editor option???

    I just returned after not blogging for a couple of months. I do NOT want to use the block editor (don’t even get me started on why, I just HATE it!) so I followed the instructions to get to the Classic Editor as I remembered it from a couple of months ago (Admin screen, Post New, then look for “switch to classic editor” in the sidebar.
    I also clicked on the 3 dots at the top, but there is NO option for classic editor, not even a plugin! I can’t take a screenshot of this, sorry. You’ll have to take my word for it. I really wanted to write tonight, and am thoroughly disgusted and annoyed. Why isn’t this option available to me? If there is no way for me to use the Classic Editor,I’m done with WordPress. I want to use a platform that supports WRITERS, not page designers. I also can no longer find where I can send an email to the happiness engineers. Is the Forum all we’ve got now to get any help?

    I don’t want to use a classic BLOCK. It’s not ANY BETTER than just using BLOCKS. I want the classic EDITOR. I am a writer, I don’t think in BLOCKS. It was my understanding that the Classic Editor would be available until 2022 for those who preferred it. Why is it no longer being offered as an option? Why can’t I find it under Admin, Posts, Add New, etc like I could before? I have looked EVERYWHERE. Did you guys just decide to force this block stuff on everyone and get rid of the classic editor completely? I heard something about a plugin, but I don’t even see an option for it as a plugin, though other people say they have this option.
    Can you please look at my account and tell me where I can look for the classic editor option or even the darn classic editor plugin if that’s what I have to do?
