Where is the draft that took me hours to write yesterday?
-
I wrote a draft I was hoping to publish it after I added to it and did so proof reading and editing. I went to get the draft I started yesterday and today it did not exist, where is it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

For posts, go to My Sites > Blog Posts. Then, click the “Drafts” tab near the top of the page (between Published and Trash).
For pages, go to My Sites > Pages. Then, click the “Drafts” tab.

I hit the draft button on the side and what took me houes to write I can not find. I even tried to publish the not ready draft so in hopes that it would show up, but it stated there was nothing written. Before turning in I save the draft I wrote numerous times through out the time I wrote it. I came back the following day to try to retrive it to finish it so I could proof read and make any neccessary corrections prior to posting/publishing, but I could not figure our how to bring it up. There was a mention of getting started on writing a post and I clicked on it as nothing esle was there to bring up my draft. I then saw a button which stated draft on the left side of the screen and clicked it! I got a blank page. Where can this draft be?

micawbr,
I had did exactly where you stated to go to but it states current draft and it is blank. There has to be a way to save more than one draft of something in this wordpresss.com . As I can save multiple drafts in word, in emails accounts, etc.
I need to get some help from the wordpress staff. -
Which editor were you using? the classic editor in your dashboard or the new Blue Death Beep Beep thing?
-
I was using the free one. I am very new to blogging, but realize this was the only way I could get the information heard as the media refuses to help.

I thank you very much for the help, information and flagging for the staff to help. It is nice to know there are people who care. : )
I am sure you know what it is like to be in this position, where you wrote something and it just disappears after you spent all of the time and work on it.
I would write it again if I could remember how I wrote it the way I had, but with me it is inspiration of the moment which will propel me to get and idea be inspired write about it and perfection! It is very hard for me to duplicate the exact way and sentiment, for I do not remember everything. I did not get a chance to reread it. I dictate my hands follow and it is like a synphony in motion!
I feel stuck right now (writers block)!
Thank you for all of your help!
Warmest Regards,
Debra An -
I use the classic editor from the Dashboard
https://usveterans.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php
I also save early and often – I did not like the Blue Death Editor when I tried it and there have been too many reports of people having problems with it showing up in the forum with lost drafts
Good luck with you new site & you be welcome for the help

Maybe that it why they called it Blue Death Editor, because it will kill and destroy drafts! lol
I hope that is not the same one that I have. Scary thought! That is why I like to contiuously save my work as I type it in, about every 2-5 minutes or so. I hope it is there somewhere.
Good to know about the Blue Death Editor. Thank you for the information.
If you have not guessed it yet, it will be a site for veterans, there family, civilans, to try to get many of veterans issues out there that the media will not show the public, in addition to; an understanding of how we get treated as veterans and military Service members. I hope for a big change for the better and with the publics help I feel it is very possible. I will share my experiences and fellow veteran friends of mine. I am opening that can of worms, alone with many other cans, so we can kick these cans and get what all veterans deserve, which right now my main focus is extremely better health care through the VA Healthcare Systems! -

Hello jochienuel,
Under the heading on this page it states support go there start at the begining of that Web page and it should explain how to use WordPress and set up and use! If you get stuck start a topic and the wonderful community will do there best to help you as they did me. If they can not help one of them or you can request help from the WordPress staff, which is what happened to me. I am also new to WordPress and I know you you feel, as it is overwhelming when you start and have to learn a new system. Warmest Regards, Debra An ☺ -
