    Hello there,

My Facebook “Like” button recently turn into a “share” button and there is no way to get back the first one, even with “original buttons” type selected.
It’s really annoying because readers seems to be affraid of the “share” button and like the “like” one !

    Thank you.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there.

As the Facebook button sits alongside our list of sharing options, we changed to the correct, official Facebook button for the ‘share’ action. This brings the button inline with the other services that we offer sharing options for e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

You can still use the WordPress.com Like button to offer users an easy way of showing they like your post.

Hope this helps to clarify the reasons behind updating the button! Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any extra questions.

Thank you for answering my question, and I undertand your choices. But for non-wordpress readers, liking a post is not convenient at all, they have to create an account, what about an option for a facebook “like” button next to the wordpress one ?

    Thanks again

    Hi parismrs,
I have understand your problem. There is also a Share button next to the Like button to let people add a personal message and customize who they share with. There is not a big difference between the like button and the share button. The Like button is the quickest way for people to share content with their friends. Hope my advise will helps you.
    Thank you.
