  I just signed up for a new account on my phone with WordPress.com thinking I’d be able to get a free site. Has that option gone away?

  Hi — it’s free still, sure! You’ll just need to skip any upgraded options if you want to keep the site completely free.

  What are you seeing when you try to sign up on your phone? And are you using wordpress.com/start ?
